Managing the Materials Library

Rates, GST, and categories for the materials you buy.

The Materials Library stores base rates, units, GST percentage, and HSN codes for materials like cement, steel, and aggregate - used by Rate Analysis to build up item costs.

  1. 1Go to Master Data → Materials.
  2. 2Click + Add Material and fill in its unit, base rate, GST %, and category from the dropdown.
  3. 3Use Manage Categories (next to Add Material) to add, rename, or remove material categories - same as on the Items of Work page.
  4. 4Click Sync Rates to refresh the list after bulk-updating rates.
