Using AI BOQ

Draft BOQ items from a scope of work, a document, or a drawing.

AI BOQ turns whatever you have into a draft list of BOQ items: paste a scope of work in your own words, upload a scope document, upload a drawing/floor plan, or any combination of these. If a drawing is given, it also visually detects building elements (columns, beams, doors, windows) and shows you exactly where it found them.

  1. 1Go to AI BOQ, pick the project, and paste a scope of work and/or upload a document or drawing.
  2. 2Click Generate Draft BOQ and wait a few seconds.
  3. 3If a drawing was analyzed, an annotated image appears showing exactly what was detected and where.
  4. 4Review each drafted item. CATBOQ suggests a matching item from your Items of Work instead of creating a duplicate blindly - accept the suggestion, pick a different existing item, or create a new one.
  5. 5Confirm the items you want, then click Send confirmed items to BOQ.

Tip: None of this is precise measurement - it's a fast starting point. Always check quantities against the real drawing/scope before finalizing a quote.
