Using Item Counting
Count doors, windows, columns and fixtures on the sheets you pick.
Item Counting counts repeated symbols on a drawing - doors, windows, columns, electrical points, fixtures - sheet by sheet, so a symbol that appears on several sheets is not counted twice by accident.
- 1Go to Item Counting, pick the project and upload the drawing (PDF or image).
- 2For a PDF, small previews of every sheet appear. Tick only the sheets to count (for example the ground and first floor plans, not the elevations).
- 3Check the symbols to count, then click Count.
- 4Review the counts: the table shows each symbol per sheet and the total. Use the + and - buttons to correct any count.
- 5Click Send to BOQ. Each symbol goes into the right BOQ section, and Open BOQ takes you there.
Tip: Counting the same file, sheets and symbols again opens the saved count. Use Count again only when you want a fresh count. Every count is kept in History.
Legends and schedules on the sheet are not counted, but always check the totals against the drawing before you send them to the BOQ.
